Assessment Roundtable: Undergraduate Research
This collaborative session will focus on addressing the complexities of tracking and studying undergraduates in research experiences. We’ll discuss insights from peer institutions, including the challenges of systematic tracking. Participants will explore Duke’s evolving indicators for research participation, such as course enrollments, surveys, and program data, while considering ways to enhance these tools. The session will also delve into methods for gathering meaningful insights from students nearing the conclusion of their academic journeys. Bring your ideas and join the conversation to co-create solutions for leveraging research tracking and engagement strategies effectively. The programs of International Comparative Studies, Physics, and Art, Art History & Visual Studies will give examples of their efforts to support undergraduate research in their programs.
